July 15th Chicken BBQ & Family Fun Day @ noon.  POC is Herm Eck @ 978/ 355 - 9090.

 

July 30th Quabbin Open - Sporting Clay Shoot @ 9:00 AM.  This will be a NSCA Registered Shoot.  POC is Randy K @ 978/ 632 - 8708.   

 

August 19, Pork / Beef BBQ @ 6:00PM – Followed by an Auction.  POC – Tony Pitisci & Charlie Payne. Needs Attic Treasures!

 

August 20, Black Powder Shoot (NE Champion Ship) @ 8:00 a.m.

 

September 10, CLAMBAKE @ 11:00 a.m.

 

October 15, Barre / Petersham Sporting Clay Shoot with meal.  POC George Marshall

 

Volunteers are needed for all events!

 

Activities

* Archery Shoot every Monday at 6:00 P.M.

 

* Range – 22 Shoot - Tuesdays at 6:30 P.M.

 

* Trap Shoot every Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. 

 

* Sporting Clays – Thursday at 5:30 P.M. & Sundays at 10:30.

 

* Pistol Shoot with safety instructions once a month.  Pete Stalker & Bert DuVernay are POC.  They even brought extra hand guns & holsters as loaners. 21 July at 6:00 P.M. for next shoot.

 

Activities Quarterly Update

 

April; The Back Powder Shoot was another success earning a small profit.

 

April; Selection of contractors to complete the Fire Protection System.  Rick Electric was low bidder and has signed a contract.  Fire Protect was low bidder for the Fire Suppression System over the Stove.  John Neri signed as the contractor to install the door.  All work will cost an estimate $8,000.00.

 

May; Sportsman’s Challenge was on 21 May – this event is competition between other local clubs – includes; Trap, 22 & Archery shoots. BSC won this event with Tom Salvador being the number 1 shooter; Fig (John Neri) came in 2nd and young Charlie Hobbs 3rd.

 

May; President Mark Koenig gave an update on the work agreement with the Town of Barre Fire Chief. Submitted all contract quotes as requested by Chief Rogowski

 

May; The Roof Vent work has been completed by Dave & Ray Berard and Mark Koenig will contact Fire Protec to install the Fire Suppression System above the gas stove required by MA State Law.

 

June; Steak and Lobster Feed made another small profit and the bar did fantastic!

 

June; George Marshall has been trying to get Fire Protec to start Installing the Fire Suppression System above the stove?

 

* Club members gave a big applause of appreciation for all the committees’ hard work!

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Club members voted for the following.

·        New members; July – Jason Holden, Michael Saner, Zach Fiztgerald, Curtis Condike, Brad Brown, June – none, May - Robert Skip Witt, Anthony J. Mangano, Fred Crick French.

·        Club Treasurer, John Mott recently had an operation and a Get Well card was passed around for signatures and to wish John a speedy recovery.
