UPCOMING EVENTS

 

Chicken BBQ, 14 July, Saturday, has been cancelled and replaced with a work party at 9:00 AM

 

August 18, Pork / Beef BBQ @ 6:00PM – Followed by an Auction.  POC – Tony Pitisci  Needs Attic Treasures! Tickets call Chick at 355-2476.

 

August 19, Black Powder Shoot (NE Champion Ship) @ 8:00 a.m.

 

September 9, CLAMBAKE @ 11:00 a.m.

 

September 30th, Barre/Petersham Sporting Clay Shoot with meal.  POC George Marshall

 

NOVEMBER 11th  ~  Sunday, TURKEY SHOOT

 

DECEMBER 2nd  ~  Sunday KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTY @ 1:00 p.m.

 

All EVENTS NEED VOLUNTEERS!

 

Activities

* Archery Shoot – Mondays at 6:00 for 4 weeks with a steak dinner POC Fig

* Range – 22 Shoot, Tuesdays, POC Tony

* Trap – Starts 9 May, Wednesdays 7:30 PM

* Sporting Clays - Sundays starting at 10:00 AM. & Thursdays Call Roger King for more info at 413 – 477/8745.

* Pistol Shoot – 3rd Friday of the Mo - at 6:00 PM.  . Cost $10.00.

* Rifle Shoot – 16 & 30th start 6:00 PM – 200 yard 5 shot POC Pete Stalker (978) 928-5223

 

Functions – Completed April - July

* The Hunter Safety Class was a big success.  The club made another profit operating the kitchen.    

* The Game supper made another profit, had great food and sold 111 tickets.

* The Oakham & Barre Boy Scouts Thanked the BSC for use of the cub for a camp over – about 28 kids.     

* Tony reported a small profit for the sporting clay event breakfast and a good profit for the meat raffle. 

* Butch Brown reported another profit for the Black Powder Shoot held on 27, 28 & 29 April. 

* Sportsman’s Challenge was on 21 May this event was a competition between other local clubs – The BSC team came in last.      

*  Fig Neri reported another successful Steak and Lobster feed on Sunday, June 3rd. 

Thanks to the folks who participated and worked.  Remember profits area discussed at the meetings!

·         Tony Pitisci selected this year’ Quabbin High School recipients for the BSC scholarship.  Selected BSC Junior members Melissa Cooley and Eric Gendron. Congratulations! Both recipients expressed their thanks.

·         Voted to have a Rick Electric install a low temperature alarm.  Estimated cost $274.00.

·         Voted to send the Mule for maintenance service at Higgins Energy.  Estimated cost $650.00?

·         The Big Turkey winner is Rick French – 26.2 pounds with a 17 ½” beard.  Congratulations!

·         Mark K. is starting a biggest fish pool; sign up at the bar – Quabbin, Wachusett Reservoirs only.

·          Fig said he is still waiting for a quote for the new door.  Has a $700.00 quote to cut the opening.  This is the last requirement for the Barre Fire Department.

·         Peter Cirelli presented the club a thank you letter from the Mass Minuteman RV club which also donated an additional $50.00.

·         Voted to purchase a used diesel Jacobson riding lawn mower for $700.00 through Fig.

·         The club voted to sponsor P.F. Fitzgerald 14th memorial Golf Classic in Westminster for $100.00.

·         New Member voted in: Dylan Phillips, Alan Medville, Andy Johnson, Chick Hamilton, Stephen Riendeau, Steve DiSilvestro, Don Amidon,James Dowler, Russel Wilson,
