Black Powder Shoot: 27, 28 & 29^th April (Nichewaug)

STEAK & LOBSTER FEED: June 8th, Sunday @ 1:00 P.M.

Activities

* Archery Shoot – Starts in April?

* Range – 22 Shoot – May, on Tuesday ?

* Trap – Starts in May , Wednesdays 7:30 PM

* Sporting Clays - Saturdays starting at 10:00 AM. Call Randy Klockers for more info. Switches to Sundays starting in April.

* Pistol Shoot – Call Pete or Bernie for times?

Functions – Complete

* The Hunter Safety Class was full – approximately 65 people registered. The club cooked and served food and made a small profit. Brian Waterman was the cook!

* Tony had his infamous Lamb feed on 16 Feb08 and had 27 attendees and made a small profit.

* The Game Supper was on 3 March 07. It was a full house, profit was made and the food was excellent! Charlie Payne was the coordinator and Fig and Tony were the master chiefs.

* Jeff Degnan ran the raffle. Some great prizes were given out! As a joke some prankster supplied Jeff with Dane’s ticket number and Jeff called the number as the grand prize winner and Dane had a pick of anything on the prize table which was nothing! Everyone had a good laugh including Dane.

Activities

* The Boat Safety Class was also held in February and attendance was low and hopefully more folks will sign up for it next year.

* Club members gave a big applause of appreciation for all volunteers, who worked, organized or donated for this month activities.

NEW BUSINESS

* Voted to let Ed Pollack rent the club on 4 Oct 2008.

* Voted to let Kevin Berube lead a group of volunteers to wash & wax the club floor.

* The Barre Police Dept through Kevin Cooley requested to hold a night shoot on 21 March. President Barry Peddle wants to get a few more details and will contact Kevin.

* Vice President Chris Duggan is the POC for keys & new membership request.

* Secretary Ralph Gendron has copies of Club rules and policies for new members.

DON’T FORGET CLUB MEMBERSHIP DUES! Make check payable to the Barre Sportsmen’s Club Inc. Please print neatly! Use your home mail labels if you like. The memberships are due April 1^st and have 60 days to pay!

The next meeting notes will be sent out after the July meeting. Monthly notes are posted at the club and on the Web Site.
