October 23rd – Sporting Clay Shoot with Petersham Gun Club @ 8:00 a.m.  Food & 75 rounds - $69.00. POC is George Marshall 355/4510 for more info & to volunteer / need trappers.

 

November 6th – Members Introduction Day!  All members welcome.  9:00 –12:00 ShotGun Activities 1:00 – 3:00 Archery & Rifle.  POC Jeff Degnan.

 

November 13th – Turkey Shoot

Activities

 

The annual ClamBake held on 12 Sep

was a great success!  The club made another profit.  Thanks to the folks who

Volunteered.

 

A moment of silence was observed for Joe Spano, a long life club member who recently passed away.

 

The Barre Sportsman custom designed embroidered hunting hats are available for $20.00 each.  See Tim Fitzgerald.

 

Trap will continue until the end of October.

 

Sporting clays will go on right through the winter.

 

Jeff Degnan is coordinating a gun raffle – Book of 6 tickets selling for $5.00.  Raffle will be on 15 November.

 

*  Club Member Howard Ziff as our volunteer representative gave an update on the Fire Suppression appeal to the State of Massachusetts.   John Fig Neri & Vice President Dave Berard represented the club as witnesses. An agreement with the Fire Chief / the club will install a fire alarm detection system.  The club is seeking bids.    

 

·        The club voted in the following new members.  George Rogers, Paul Noble, Mike German, Russell Chaples, Randy May, Kevin Kelly, Craig Waters, Mark Plouffe, John White, Glen Carter, Chris Talbolt, David DaChamps, Norm German, Brian Pierce, Andy Rollings, Jesse Thorpe.  Sponsors of new members are urged to show them the ropes!  Take them shooting, clean up or participate with any work activity.

 

The following were a No Show.  Cory Robinson, Kyle Brown, John Bartlette, Bert Diverney, Larry Braint, Joan Crevier and Jason Gerulaitis.

 

·         Voted to purchase 12 pheasants for the upcoming kid’s hunt.

·         Voted Edward Pollock in to replace Bolo as a Board of Directors member.

 

·         Voted to let Gary Pearson use the club for his son’s Eagle Scout Ceremony on 27 Nov.

 

·         Voted to let Jeff Degnan used the club on 4 & 5 Nov for the Boy Scouts.
