October 23rd – Sporting Clay Shoot with Petersham Gun Club @ 8:00 a.m.  Food & 75 rounds - $69.00. POC is George Marshall 355/4510 for more info & to volunteer / need trappers.

 

November 6th – Members Introduction Day!  All members welcome.  9:00 –12:00 Shot Gun Activities 1:00 – 3:00 Archery & Rifle.  POC Jeff Degnan.

 

November 11th – Turkey Shoot

Barry Peddle is the coordinator for this activity.

 

Activities

 

The Pig & Beef event made a profit of $452.97 with the auction taking in $795.  A great collection of attic treasures was “re-distributed” among the bidders.

 

Ed Pollack & Rich Jankauskas ordered & will picked up the lobsters for the clambake.

 

Archery:  Tom Salvadore has decided to step down from the Bay State Archery committee after a few years of dedicated service.  Tom stated that the club archery program is doing fine & didn’t feel a need to continue with Bay State. 

 

Trap will continue until the end of September.

 

Sporting clays will go on right through the winter.

 

Jeff Degnan is coordinating a gun raffle – Book of 6 tickets selling for $5.00.  Raffle will be on 15 November.

 

*  Club Member Howard Ziff as our volunteer representative gave an update on the Fire Suppression appeal to the State of Massachusetts which will happen on 14 Sep 05. 

 

·        The club voted to post new warning signs along the club boundary.

·        Voted to increase membership to 175.

·        Voted to make a $100.00 donation to Maria Peddle thru the Barre Savings Bank.

·        Voted to make a $100.00 donation to the Petersham Police & Fire Dept.’s Golf Tournament to help a 4 yr. old boy.

·        Voted to let Dave Hobbs purchase a new Rabbit machine for $3,500.00
