October 11th, Sporting Clay shoot with Petersham Rod & Gun Club – POC Randy Klockers. Need 11 trappers.

Sep 26, Barre Police will conduct a night shoot training.

 

Sep 20 & 27 100 Yard Shoot at 1:00 PM POC Mark Pluffe $1.00 per target.

November 8, Annual Turkey Shoot

 

December 6, Kids Christmas Party

* Archery Shoot – every Monday at 6:00P.M.

 

* Range – 22 Shoot – Tuesdays at 6:00P.M.

 

* Trap - Wednesdays at 7:30 PM

 

Sporting Clays - Thursday at 5:30 PM   POC Randy Klockers.

 

* Pistol Shoot - POC Pete Stalker & Bert DuVernay

Next shoot – Fri 18 Sep 09 at 6:00.

 

 Functions – Completed

 

*   The August  Pork / Beef BBQ  by Tony Pitisci produced another excellent and profitable event.  Tony said this was his last effort due to low member participation.

 

* Fig’s gun raffle made good profit and Carolina Eck won 1st prize.  Tony Pitisci sold the most tickets and won 2 Clam Bake Tickets.

 

Clubs members gave appreciation applause for all the completed activities. Note; profit for events are discussed at meetings.

 

Club members voted for approval on the following items:

 

* Membership is now at 173. There is a waiting list.

 

Election of officers was held at this meeting.

Thank you to all that have served the club over the past year and welcome to our new officers and board members.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Voted yes! New members are Dale Smith and Raymond Beaudoin.

 

Bert DuVernay will follow up on raising money to support the Quabbin High School Air Rifle Team.  They need 6 air rifles and cost $500.00.

 

Kevin Cooley was informed and agreed to pay $75.00 a day for his next Police Arms Instructors Class.

Vote yes to allow Sam & Kim Dodge to teach archery for local youths.Start a Jr.Olympic team?  

 

Sep 18th, National Rifle Association event  at the Four Points Sheraton in Leominster.  Will have raffles, dinner etc.  Call Lynn 978/456-9944. Voted in August to pay for tickets and send the club officers to this event.
